Christine Lagarde, Managing Di find rector of International Monetary Fund (IMF) has advised the Nigeria government to remove fuel subsidy and channel the money to the provision of social amenities for the country. Speaking during a press conference at the ongoing joint annual spring meetings with the World Bank in Washington DC, Lagarde stated that with the low revenue the country is generating, removing fuel subsidy is the best option, as it would enable it save enough funds to provide the necessary social needs of the people.
